This time around we have one of the hottest DJ’s/producers coming from berlin, Oliver $, under the spotlight. Side A ‘iHope’ leads into a stripped down beat reminiscent of early Chicago vintage, eventually breaking into a mantra-like chant giving the track it’s title. Side B’s ‘Ginger Ale’, a sly homage to Mr. $ himself, has all the elements that have made Oliver so popular the past few years: the brass, the funk and the epilepsy inducing beat. The B1 Dub of ‘iHope’ is equally as infectious, giving off an early evening, first-beats-of-the-night-vibe.
