Belgium duo Aeroplane have been known for their eclectic mix of seasonal vibes and warm-hearted synths. After seeing them for the first time at this years Coachella Festival, I could truly understand what these two were all about. Their newest single “We Can’t Fly,” as heard on their BBC 500th Essential Mix, is a throwback jam reminiscent of all things summer. The full single is out July 5th on Wall of Sound.

Who doesn’t like a little bit of funky house? James Curd has been on my radar for a while, and now i’m finally getting around to making a post about him. In my opinion he is one of the most underrated and overlooked producers around, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t respected by some of the best in the industry. His music has been played out by the likes of Aeroplane and The Juan Maclean among others. His music has a real feel good vibe and is heavily influenced by funk, disco, and soul music. If you haven’t heard of Villa yet it’s alright, the new project from a Belgian trio has remained pretty obscure since their time together. Combining elements of balearic disco, analog electro, funk and something else that is hard to describe, these Belgian producers are quickly becoming a formidable figure in the world of disco house. Already being championed by the likes of Aeroplane and Erol Alkan, and with remixes for The Golden Filter and Moby, you can expect that 2010 will be a big year for Villa.
